What is a "prim"?"

A unit measuring the complexity of an object within Second Life. It is a way to constrain how many and how complex the items are that are placed within the Second Life world in a sim. A typical object (if not outdated and made correctly) is only 1-5 prims. A book or stack of books would be 1 prim, but it varies depending on how the objects were created. A bed may range from 2-15 prims, for instance. The smallest unit of prim is .5 but will register as 1 prim unless "linked" to another .5 prim object. You may also hear prims referred to as "Land Impact" or "LI" which is nearly synonymous.

What is a "parcel"?"

A subdivision of land in a sim. It may have its own privacy settings and other settings governing who is allowed on the parcel or what radio stream is playing on it.

What is a "sim" or "region"?"

Accepted Answer

A section of the Second Life world which is usually separate from the rest - private. You may visit a particular sim or region if you have the coordinates and are allowed in the sim/region. One sim is 256 m x 256 m and may be divided into parcels or expanded with adjacent sims.

How long can I rent?

You may rent for as long as you are willing and are able to pay your tier fee (rent).

How far in advance can I pay my rent?

You may pay in advance up to 8 weeks.

Is there a discount if you pay your rent in advance?

Accepted Answer

Yes! On your initial tier payment we offer the following discount:  If you pay your tier (rent) up to four (4) weeks in advance, you will receive 15% off ! 
 
After your initial payment the discount is no longer availabe, but we will send group notices of future discounts as they become available!

Can I receive a discount for referring someone?

Yes! Vexed Estates offers a referal reward of 50% off a future tier payment if any one person that you refer rents a home and remains a tenant for at least two (2) consecutive weeks.

Can I have multiple tenants to share the rent and prims?

Accepted Answer

Yes! You may have up to four (2) subtenants residing with you in your home, but you are still required to stay within your prim allotment.

How many properties do you have?

When is my rent due?

Rent is due on a weekly basis. Please refer to your note card for your meter's location within your home for information on your tier or rental payments.

How can I get in touch with management?

You may send a notecard from your inventory to Vexedestates (Victoria) or message within the group.

Can I add more prims to my parcel?

Accepted Answer

Yes! As long as prims are available. Please check with management for additional prim allowance.

Question 13

Will I be charged for going over my prim allowance?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your parcel is allowed a certain amount of prims for your use. If you should go over that allowance your tier will be affected at the rate of L$2 per additional prim. If unable to pay your items will be returned to you.

Do you offer personal tours?

Yes! Drop a note card to request a tour. Please include the date, day, and time you prefer.

Why can't I rez?

Accepted Answer

You must wear your Vexed Estates group tag inorder to be able to rezz your objects/items.

Why every time I rez an item it disappears?

You may be at/over your prim allowance. You may request to add more prims to your parcel at a rate of L$2 per prim if extra prims are available.

How do I use my security system?

THE VARONA Residents: Click on your  pad with the VEXED ESTATES logo that is near or at your home's entrance.
 
WINTER COVE Residents: Click on your alarm control panel that is near your front door at your home's entrance.
 
Several options will appear and you go from there. You have the ability to add guests, ban unwanted guests, arm, and disarm your unit. If you need further instructions, please contact Vexedestates Resident or Vixtee Resident.

Can I change out any of my furniture and use my own?

No. The furnished units come as is. You are welcome to check out our unfurnished units if you would like to decorate on your own.

The TVs are not workiing

Clicking the frame of your XTV should pull up a menu to turn on your tv.
Clicking it again should pull up another menu for your TV Guide.

Where do I pay my rent?

You may pay your rent on the second floor of the lobby at your designated mailbox at the RENT station. There is a RENT button on your security orb that will teleport you to the Rent Station. If it bounces you outside the lobby just take the elevator up to the second floor!
